.... luckily Peter drove me out the next day and we managed to attached it back under the car (cable ties FTW!), and followed me as I drove my extremely loud car to a mates garage. As per the 'laws of the universe' on the way I had to drive past a number of children riding horses in a car that literally couldn't have been louder.

All fixed now though so I can drive about again!
